The golbi tablet is a hepatoprotective medication. It works by reducing the cholesterol secretion from the liver, reduces the fractional reabsorption of the intestine, and helps dissolve gallbladder stones composed mainly of cholesterol. It also improves liver enzymes, protects liver cells from injury caused due to toxic bile acids, and improves liver function. Primary biliary cholangitis (pbc)

• You should take a golbi tablet after a meal with a glass of milk or water • Eat a healthy diet, go for regular exercise and avoid alcohol consumption • Diarrhea may occur as a side effect. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if diarrhoea persists or if you find blood in your stools • Liver function and bilirubin levels are monitored by your doctor every month for the next 3 months after the initiation of therapy and every 6 months after that • Don’t quit the medication without consulting your doctor.
